Malherbe guesthouse is a National Monument and was built in 1859. The house has been lovingly restored and offers 5 en-suite rooms, 4 with private entrance and patio or verandah as accommodation. Joubert House: Long Street. The town's oldest local dwelling, it epitomises the lifestyle of the late 19th century and includes an indigenous medicinal herb garden.

Old Mission church: The old neo-gothic Mission Church dates back to 1907 and displays a collection of valuable furniture, paintings and objects d'art from Montagu. Herbal remedies and herbal products are also on sale here.

Hot Mineral Springs: Montagu's springs' healing powers have enjoyed renown for over 200 years. The water is pumped continuously from the eye of the spring. An open-ended flow system through the complex ensures that all the system's water is constantly replenished. Open for day-visitors every day.

Famous Tractor ride:
Starting at Niel Burger's Protea Farm (30 kilometres from Montagu on the road to Touws Rivier), a tractor ride goes to the Langeberg mountain tops. Spectacular views! The trip takes 3 hours and at the end, one can indulge in a traditional "Potjiekos" meal.
